So tell us about the theme and inspirations behind your new collection?

The 2007 Simone Williams collection, City Desires, is inspired by the tall city building structures which make up London s vibrant city. This is reflected in the shapes and details of each garment whilst still retaining sexy charm.
There is something to suit every woman’s shape in this collection, which is a true celebration of femininity in the city.

How does it differ from your previous collections?

Different fabric has been used in the majority of this collection – satin – there are also more symmetrical lines in this line to reflect the inspiration of the collection.

Which piece is your favourite and why?

I love them all but the corset dress is wonderful because of its shape and how its looks on the wearer.

What future plans do you have in store?

To take part in more fashion shows, have a major celebrity like Beyoncé Knowles or Mariah Carey wear one of my creations and to supply more shops. To fully establish Simone Williams as a high quality fashion brand with London and the UK, gaining concessions in more boutiques and setting our sights on international interest.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

Taking part in Kulture 2 Couture 2006 was wonderful. But every year that I can bring forth a new collection is a great achievement so I would have to say bringing out the 2007 collection.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

My plans are to supply more shops with my garments. My main ambition is to launch my brand internationally so that in 5 years time we will be a well known brand name across the fashion world.
